I-684 Lane Closures Scheduled For This Week

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Commuters should be prepared for lane closures and slow downs on Interstate 684 southbound on Monday, Dec. 5 and Tuesday, Dec. 6, for road maintenance, according to the New York Department of Transportation.

Drivers should expect delays and lane closures during construction activities on I-684 in Westchester.

The work will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on I-684 southbound between Exit 3 (Route 22) and Exit 1 (I-287/Hutchinson River Parkway). One lane will remain open, but motorists should expect delays, officials said.

Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers. They are also reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.
