An accident that moved to the shoulder of the road initially resulted in stopped traffic and then stop-and-go delays near the interchange of I-287 and I-87 during much of the Monday morning commute.
The crash, on eastbound I-287, was at Exit 6 (Route 22).
It occurred just before 8 a.m.
