Hutch Traffic Held Up Near Scarsdale, Eastchester

SCARSDALE, N.Y. – The right lane of the Hutchinson River Parkway northbound near exit 22 is closed while workers trim trees on the side of the highway. Traffic has backed up all the way to exit 15 near Eastchester.

Workers took down branches with the help of a truck on the side of the road. The work forced drivers to merge into the left lane and caused congestion for miles.

Melissa Slater, assistant to the regional director at the New York State Department of Transportation, said the state called a help truck in the area, which reported that traffic had been flowing normally.
