A wind advisory is issued when sustained winds are 31 to 39 mph or there are guests of between 46 and 57 mph.

Winds of that strength can make driving difficult, the National Weather Service warned, urging motorists to exercise extra caution.

Residents and business owners are also urged to secure trash and recycling cans, bins and lids, and to put away or tie down anything else that could fly around.

Winds will be out of the west at 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 miles per hour.

Wednesday's high temperature will hover around the freezing mark under mostly sunny skies.

Thursday will be partly sunny with a high in the mid-30s.

Friday will be mostly sunny with highs in the low 40s before rain moves in Friday night, lasting through Saturday.
