Heavy rains have prompted the National Weather Service to issue a Flash Flood Watch for Westchester County through Monday evening.
A flash flood watch means that conditions may develop that could lead to flash flooding in urban areas as well as small streams and creeks. Officials remind motorists to expect delays on all roadways, especially in the normally troubled areas such as the Bronx River Parkway, the Saw Mill River Parkway and the Hutchinson River Parkways, which are prone to flooding and closures.
Please allow for extra travel times, stopping distances and drive carefully to reduce the chances of hydroplaning.
