Fewer Potholes Crop Up On Region's Roads After Mild Winter

A milder winter has meant fewer tire-chewing craters on Hudson Valley roads, according to a report by lohud.

And that also means communities will have to spend less money repairing potholes and road cracks, lohud reported.

It’s the freezing and thawing cycle when the weather is brutal that is mostly to blame for the holes.

The state Department of Transportation told lohud that holes on Route 172 in Pound Ridge and other state roads in the area are scheduled to be repaired.
