OSSINING, N.Y. -- Presidential candidate Donald Trump is battling the town of Ossining in an effort lower the valuation of his Briarcliff Manor country club, Trump National, according to the New York Times.

The property is currently taxed at a $13.5 million, but the real estate mogul's legal team is stating the market value of $1.36 million. The reduction in value would reduce the golf club's tax burden by approximately 90 percent, The New York Times reported. 

Trump owns an estate in Bedford.
