PHILADELPHIA -- As emergency crews continue to weed through the wreckage of Amtrak train 188, the death toll, which currently stands at seven, is expected to rise, according to philly.com.

The train was traveling at more than 100 mph when it derailed. Experts have said the tragedy could have been avoided if an electronic train-control system was in place, philly.com said.
