“On behalf of all New Yorkers, I offer my thoughts and prayers to all those who have been affected by the attacks in Paris earlier today," Cuomo said in his statement. "As more details emerge, I want the people of Paris to know that just as the world has stood by New York in times of tragedy, New York stands with you."

Cuomo said he's directed New York State law enforcement to "remain vigilant," and he's asking that residents quickly report anything suspicious.

Cuomo said the state police, the New York Intelligence Center and the state's Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services are keeping tabls on any implications of the terrorist attacks for New York.
