The NYPD believes the gunman belongs to a local gang, and are trying to find him using facial recognition, according to the report.
Gabay, 43, was was with his brother when he was shot on Bedford Avenue.
“Today we are all incredibly saddened by the news from Carey Gabay’s family. I ask that all New Yorkers please join me in keeping both Carey and his family in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time,” said Governor Cuomo via Twitter.
