The cucumbers, distributed by Andrew and Williamson Fresh Produce, have affected 285 people through the nation, including four in New York, according to reports.

Illnesses began on dates ranging from July 3, 2015 to Aug. 26, 2015.

Authorities urge consumers to ask their grocer where the cucumbers were grown. If they were grown outside Mexico, they are safe to eat.
