SCARSDALE, N.Y. -- A multi-vehicle accident that resulted in a downed pole and wires caused the closure of a stretch of Route 100 on Thursday morning.

The closure, reported at 9 a.m., was between Sentry Place and Mount Joy Avenue, with backups to Underhill Road.

Nearby, an accident on eastbound I-287 at Exit 4 (Route 100A/Knollwood Road) caused backups to I-87. The crash was reported at 8:50 a.m.

Farther north, an 8: 55 a.m. accident on the southbound Taconic State Parkway tied up traffic at the junction of the Sprain Brook Parkway.
