Come to Senior Program on Protecting Your Assets

ARMONK, N.Y. - Patricia Micek, a lawyer at McMillan Constabile Maker & Perrone in Larchmont, will be the featured speaker at “How to Protect Assets for your Family” Saturday at 2 p.m. at the North Castle Public Library.

Micek, who lives in New Rochelle,  said she will focus her discussion on the easiest and most cost-effective ways to pass on your assets. The primary focus will be on wills and what needs to be included when they are drawn up. Those include power of attorney, health care proxies and living wills.

“I’ll also explain revocable trusts and life insurance trusts and provide two ways to avoid the expense and delay of probate and cover the ways to pass on assets tax-free to your heirs,” she said.

Micek will also take questions from the audience.

The program is being presented by the Livable Communities Speakers Bureau, a collaboration between the Westchester County Department of Senior Programs and Services and the Westchester Public/Private Partnership for Aging Services.

The program is free and open to all.
