Cerebral Palsy Club Honors Local Judge

The NY Cerebral Palsy of Westchester's Pioneer Social Club honored Judge Bruno Gioffre at the Surf Club in New Rochelle last week. He was presented with the Friendship Award for his long and selfless dedication to and involvement with the agency.

Judge Gioffre was recognized as one of Westchester County's premier real estate development, finance, and zoning attorneys. He was elected Justice of the Town of Rye in 1966, which began 34 years of outstanding public service. His career has brought countless honors and awards, including his election as President of the Westchester County Magistrates Association and President of the Port Chester-Rye Bar Association.

Judge Gioffre was born and raised in Port Chester. After a distinguished academic and athletic career at Cornell University and Cornell Law School, he returned to Westchester to join his father in forming the law firm of Gioffre & Gioffre.

Cerebral Palsy of Westchester's mission is to advance the independence, productivity and full citizenship of people with Cerebral Palsy and other developmental disabilities. It is a non-profit organization that provides essential educational services, vocational training, recreation, rehabilitation and advocacy to thousands of children and adults in Westchester County.
