Byram Hills Superintendent Proud of District Staff

ARMONK, N.Y.- Byram School District Superintendent Jackie Taylor says everyone involved in the district has had to work extremely hard over the past couple of weeks in order to prepare for the first day of school, especially with a week-long power outage.

“Our teachers and our custodians worked diligently all last week under the adverse conditions of the storm,” Taylor said. “We were really pleased with our first day given the storm conditions of last week.”

Taylor is thankful for everyone’s hard work in the midst of the storms aftermath and she’s especially pleased with how well everyone adjusted during the outage.

“We re-arranged everything and held meetings at Crittenden and Wampus [schools],” Taylor said. “Our secretaries adjusted and flexed to go to different schools; our district staff worked in other buildings; and our custodians and buildings and grounds staff worked as best they could under difficult conditions and they worked on the weekends as necessary to get ready for school.”
