Byram Hills Schools To Open Monday

NORTH CASTLE, N.Y. -- Byram Hills schools will open regular time Monday.

School Superintendent Bill Donohue wrote a note on the school district's website acknowledging that residents were in different stages of recovery from Hurricane Sandy and that getting children to school might be difficult for some families. It urged those who couldn't get their children to school not to worry, and called for everyone to be flexible.  He said the schools would open earlier than usual and remain open until 5 p.m. with supervision.

On streets that are not cleared of trees, buses will pick students up at the nearest main road. Get to the bus stop early, the note said.
