ARMONK, N.Y. The Byram Hills School Districts budget development process continues Tuesday with a board of education meeting that will cover specific categories of school programs.
Last week, the board of education presented its total budget for the 2012-13 school year of $80,423,562, a 2.2 percent increase over the current budget with a tax levy increase of 1.7 percent, which will stay below the 2 percent levy cap mandated by the state.
At Tuesdays meeting the board of education will break down separate areas of the budget.
"Technology, fine arts, services for students with disabilities and communications will be discussed," Superintendent of Schools Jackie Taylor said.
Another meeting will be held March 20 to review additional subject matters, according to Taylor.
Tuesdays meeting is open to the public and will be held at 7:30 p.m. at the district office at 10 Tripp Lane behind the high school.
