The autopsy of the unidentified female body found in Indianapolis Monday morning has determined the body is not Edgemont's Lauren Spierer, according to a local coroner.
Published and radio reports have said the body recovered belongs to an African American woman.
Chief Deputy coronor Alfarena Ballew of Marion County confirmed the findings."Based on preliminary results of the autopsy we did today, it does not appear to be either" woman, Ballew said.
The body was found in Fall Creek by a child, published reports said. The local authorities have also said there are a large number of other missing people and they are looking into the possibility it could belong to any of the others as well.
Bloomington, where Spierer went missing, is located roughly 50 miles south of Indianapolis.
The Facebook group, "MISSING: LAUREN SPIERER" gives mention to a missing 74-year-old grandmother, who might be the unidentified body.
Spierer, 20, has been missing since June 3. She graduated from Edgemont High School in 2009 and had recently completed her sophomore year at Indiana University studying fashion.
