Indian Point Unit 3 shutdown last December following an electrical disturbance that Entergy, which runs Indian Point, said was possibly caused by bird "streaming."

"The issue was not related to anything in the nuclear area of the power plant," Jerry Nappi, a spokesman for Indian Point, said. "[Bird streaming is] an issue that is known to cause electrical interruptions in high voltage transmission lines throughout the world. The likely cause is still being analyzed and conclusions will be reviewed for any going forward learnings.”
