Armonk Will See Thunderstorms Monday Night; Tornadoes Possible North

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Rain and potentially severe thunderstorms will threaten Westchester County throughout the late afternoon and evening on Monday.

Showers and thunderstorms will be most likely overnight and into early Tuesday morning. Storms could produce small hail, strong wind gusts and frequent lightning. Chance of rain is 70 percent. 

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for counties just to the north of Westchester, including Dutchess, Sullivan and Ulster until 8 p.m. 

Clouds and stormy weather will linger throughout Tuesday as well with a high of about 82 degrees. 

Sun will return on Wednesday and should remain for the rest of the workweek with temperatures in the 80s.
