Armonk Will See More Patchy Fog, Showers

A stalled weather system will hover over the region through much of the day Monday, causing patchy drizzle and areas of significant fog, according to forecasters.

A dense fog advisory is in effect till noon.

The National Weather Service said the chance for rain will increase as the day progresses. Forecasters are 90 percent certain that about 1/2-inch of rain will fall over parts of the region after nightfall.

While the weather system will make for a generally cloudy day, high temperatures Monday are expected to reach the low 60s, which is well above normal for mid-December.

High temperatures will cool a bit for the rest of the week, but will stay above 50 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters said similar weather will be experienced in northern New Jersey and parts of Connecticut.
