ARMONK, N.Y. - If you're using a credit card to buy premium gas in Armonk, you're now going to have to shell out more than $5 a gallon.
"It's pretty shocking. We were debating whether to go further up the road because it's more expensive here," said Brent Miller, an Armonk resident who was filling up at the Shell station on Main Street.
Armonk resident James Scagliano said he didn't have a choice but to pay through the nose at the Sunoco station on Main Street.
"Prices are too high," he said. "It's crazy."
Both stations were selling gas Sunday from $4.55 to $5.09 a gallon, which are cash and credit prices for three grades of gas.
"I don't know why it's so expensive here, you can get gas for $3.99 down the county," said Linda McGetrick, who lives in Mount Kisco. "I hope they do something. I don't know what people can do, they have to drive. We have no options, we have to pay it."
Attendants at both stations declined to comment.
