Arden Hopes for Creation of Administrator Position

ARMONK, N.Y. – Town Supervisor candidate Howard Arden sent out an email blast notifying the public that the North Castle Budget and Finance Advisory Task Force issued a report ‘strongly recommending the hiring of a Town Administrator,’ which Arden says, is a concept that he has endorsed from the start of his campaign.

According to Arden’s email, a Town Administrator would, “report to the Supervisor, and is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of Town operations.  He or she is professionally trained in municipal procedures and law, budget management, staff evaluation and oversight and labor negotiations. He or she will have the expertise to deal efficiently with a wide variety of municipal issues and have access to industry peers through national associations of town managers and administrators.”

The Town Administrator discussion has been added to the agenda for Wednesday night’s Town Board meeting at 7:30p.m. at Town Hall.
