ARMONK, N.Y. -- The publisher of All About Armonk is going west.

Michelle Boyle, who founded the site eight years ago, announced on Tuesday that she is moving to California and is looking for someone to take over the site.

"It's been a pleasure, honor, and privilege to serve the Armonk community for the past eight years as publisher of," Boyle wrote on the website. "Life's wonderful and unexpected turns have relocated my family to the West Coast."

Boyle decided to move to California following her daughter's wedding and the fact that her two daughters live there. Despite getting to be on the beach and with her family, leaving All About Armonk was not an easy decision.

"I feel very sad," Boyle, who lived in Armonk for 20 years said. "I've received many comments from people. It's the longest place I've lived in my whole life. It was a hard decision, but it was the right decision for myself and my family."

Boyle decided to start the website when she realized the community needed a central place to find out about events going on and so people could know what was going on in the community.

"No one knew when things were happening," Boyle said. "Things would overlap. I sat down in front of my computer and knew I could do something."

The goal of All About Armonk was to connect the community with a click, Boyle said.

"We covered the town board meetings, the school districts, our local non-profits," Boyle said. "People would want me to write about them and their accomplishments. People wanted to know about places to eat. I was just steering the ship and seeing where people wanted me to go."

Boyle said she will miss the people of Armonk the most.

"There are so many people in Armonk who care about the community and are dedicated it to making it a better place," Boyle said.

Even though Boyle is leaving All About Armonk, she is not planning to shut it down and is hoping someone else will want to take over. Anyone interested should reach out to Boyle at
