Alcohol Before Noon Could Be Coming Soon In New York

Gov. Andrew Cuomo said he supports legislation that would update the Alcoholic Beverage Control Law to allow alcohol to be served starting on Sundays at 8 a.m. from noon.

Currently, restaurants and bars can't sell alcohol before noon, upsetting many who frequent Sunday brunches. The new legislation would create a permit that allows businesses to begin selling alcohol at 8 a.m.

Cuomo also said he is proposing reducing paperwork for craft manufacturers, which would allow beer manufacturers and wineries to sell their products in growlers.
