Age Released For Woman Struck, Killed By Metro-North Train

A the age of the woman who was killed Thursday night after being struck by a Metro-North train in Westchester has been released.

The MTA Police said the woman was 27 years old.

A few minutes before 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, a southbound train that was not in passenger service fatally struck the woman south of the Glenwood Metro-North station, an MTA spokesman said.

The spokesman said that the MTA Police is currently investigating the circumstances.

There were no significant delays reported as a result of the incident, which appears to have been an accident.
