Drivers on area roadways had to deal with a slick and snowy evening commute on Presidents Day that saw several accidents.

A 5 p.m. accident involving an overturned vehicle was reported on west-bound Route 6 in Peekskill at the scenic overlook.

A 5:15 p.m. accident was reported on the southbound Taconic State Parkway between Underhill Avenue in Yorktown and Route 134.

An accident with property damage occurred on eastbound Route 35 at Route 100 in Somers at 5:30 p.m.

A pair of accidents were reported on I-95 shortly after steady snow began falling earlier in the afternoon.

An accident that initially blocked the left lane of a stretch of southbound I-95 occurred at Exit 19 (Playland Parkway) just before 4 p.m.

An earlier accident was reported nearby on the northbound side of I-95 at Route 1 (Exit 20).
