At least 14 people have been killed and 17 injured in a mass shooting in San Bernardino, Calif., on Wednesday.

Authorities said there were three shooters involved in the incident wearing tactical gear, "as if they were on a mission."

A black SUV that may have been used by the suspects was cornered in a street two miles from the incident. KABC reported at 6:45 p.m. that two suspects were either killed or in custody. A possible third suspect could still be at large, police said.

The shooting began near the Inland Regional Center, a social services facility for the developmentally disabled, at approximately 2 p.m. Eastern time. Responders set up a triage area to treat some of the wounded and help load others into ambulances, CNBC said..

Local authorities as well as FBI and ATF officials responded, CNBC said.

Authorities said they are unsure whether or not it was a terrorist incident or what the motive was.

San Bernardino is located about 60 miles east of Los Angeles.
