The event - which included a mass motorcycle caravan from Cortlandt Manor to Brewster - was to benefit Yorktown's DiCarlo family, which includes three brothers who all needed heart transplants.

Organizers also wanted to stress the importance of being an organ donor.

Dominick, the youngest of the brothers at 29, received his heart a few years ago in California. Anthony, 44, just received a heart on July 12. Nicky, 43, is currently on the waiting list.

Sunday's fundraiser started at the Red Line Saloon in Cortlandt Manor, where hundreds of bikers registered for the hour ride to Brewster's Bull & Barrel, where the event was held.

Live music at Bull & Barrel Brewery was provided by the Jason Gisser Band, and there was also a pig roast, buffet, dunk tank, mechanical bull rides, the restaurant's newly-opened beer garden, and an ice cream truck.
