Here, in no particular order, is a foodie's bucket list specifically for this time of year.
- Stock Up At The Farmers Market: Most Westchester towns have one but this summer, go outside your area and try one of the biggies. A popular favorite: John Jay Homestead in Katonah where, on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. you'll find more than 30 local vendors, selling seasonal produce, meats, fish, dairy products, baked goods and artisan items. There's even live music. Another biggie -- and often with food trucks -- is the one in Pleasantville, held Saturdays from 8:30 a.m.to 1 p.m.at Memorial Plaza (next to the Metro North train station).
- Hit The Road: Food always seems to taste better at a roadside shack. Leno's Clam Bar in New Rochelle -- aka "Greasy Nicks" -- with its well-worn ambiance, is just the place for perfectly prepared clams and cheeseburgers. Just remember, it's cash only. Go: 755 Pelham Rd., New Rochelle.
- Scream for Ice Cream: Dig into black chocolate coconut sorbet at Penny Lick in Hastings. Made with onyx cocoa, roasted cocoa nibs and fatty coconut cream, it's a decadent (and vegan) treat that mimics the hot-in-the-food-world charcoal trend. Owner Ellen Sledge is also offering ice cream making classes; by appointment only. Go: 580 Warburton Ave., Hastings, 914-525-1580.
- Get In A Margarita Mood: Margarita meets Frose at The Parlor in Dobbs Ferry. Debuting just in time for summer is the Blushing Slush, made with 1.5 liters of rosé, freshly squeezed lime juice, fresh mint, fresh strawberries and simple syrup, served in a mason jar. Go: 14 Cedar St., Dobbs Ferry, 914-478-8200.
- Enjoy a Clambake: At Siegel Bros. Marketplace in Mount Kisco, $45 per person gets you a pound of whole lobster, clams, mussels, shrimp, sausage, corn, and potatoes. Call one day in advance to reserve your seafood (they order it fresh daily by order); then enjoy it there or pick it up to go. It comes fully steamed or raw if you'd prefer to cook it at home. Bonus: Pick up a bottle of rosé at the adjacent Wine & Spirits shop.Go: 39 S. Moger Ave., Mount Kisco, 914-864-0690.
- Head to the Waterfront: The postcard-perfect views from the terrace at Red Hat on the River are one reason to come here; the other is the rooftop bar. The French-American-style food -- try the moules frites available in two varieties -- offer a perfect taste of the sea. Just make reservations. This is a hot spot come summer. Go: 1 Bridge St., Irvington, 914-591-5888.
- Add Coffee To Your Beach Read: The new Barnes & Noble Kitchen in Eastchester is a perfect spot to find a new book and then take it outside to their loungey patio area while you sip on a cold brew coffee. Go: 680 White Plains Rd., Eastchester, 914-723-3416.
- Mix Games With Brews: The outdoor patio at Captain Lawrence Brewing Co. in Elmsford is a great place to hang out with a cold pint.
