The story said Bloomberg has a net worth of $33.7 billion.

Bloomberg, 72, is the former mayor of New York City and the owner, founder and CEO of Bloomberg L.P., a global financial data and media company.

Bloomberg purchased a North Salem home in 2012 for $4.55 million, according to several reports.
