Westchester's Jeffrey Tambor Wins Best Actor At Critics Choice

CROSS RIVER, N.Y. -- Cross River resident Jeffrey Tambor won Best Actor at the 21st annual Critics' Choice Awards.

Tambor accepted his award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series for his work in "Transparent," presented by Thomas Middleditch and Carrie Brownstein, at the 21st Annual Critics' Choice Awards which aired live. Sunday, Jan. 17.

Tambor portrays Maura Pfefferman in the series.

In his acceptance speech, Tambor said his father told him to "be useful" and among those he thanked said, "Thank you for the transgender community for letting me be useful."
