Westchester Seeks Volunteers For Annual Parks Cleanup

WESTCHESTER, N.Y. – Westchester is looking for volunteers to help the with county’s annual outdoor spring cleaning event, Pitch in for Parks.

Cleanups are located at some parks, pathways and nature centers around Westchester on Sunday, April 14, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Volunteers can choose a favorite park and help with trail clearing and pruning, flower bed preparation, debris removal, staining, painting, sweeping and cleaning. The county also encourages local businesses to also donate snacks and beverages.

Volunteers can sign up online for the event. Those who sign up in advance will be provided with work gloves, cleaning tools and other supplies.
