As the decriminalization of marijuana around the country continues, a New York Post report states that more and more New Yorkers have taken to various forms of marijuana during the work day to help deal with stressful situations that may arise.
According to the Blinc Group, a cannabis industry advocate, more than 6,000 vendors in New York sell near-odorless smoking products, which help some employers and employees during high-pressure jobs and situations.
Citing the Brightfield Group, a market research firm, the report states that there are approximately 30 million adult cannabis users in the country, with a third using vaporizing products. The report says that an estimated 35 percent consume the product daily.
Although vaping may be on the rise in the country, the report says that some bosses are cracking down, citing a construction foreman from Yonkers who fired an employee on the spot when he was caught vaping on the roof of a building they were working on.
