More Than 2,000 Residents Remain Without Power In Westchester

More than 2,000 residents in Westchester remain without power following Tuesday’s storms that rocked the region.

As of Wednesday afternoon, Con Edison was reporting 24 outages, which were impacting 1,995 of its 348,198 customers in Westchester. NYSEG was reporting that 390 of their 32,806 customers were still in the dark.

The municipalities hit the hardest include New Castle (939 customers reporting outages); Cortlandt (440); Yorktown (425); Bedford (301); Croton-on-Hudson (113); Pound Ridge (89) and Mount Kisco (47). Other outages were reported in Eastchester, New Rochelle, North Castle and Ossining.

According to Con Edison, crews are actively working on making repairs. Complete restoration countywide is expected by approximately 11 p.m. the latest on Wednesday night.
