Miss New York To Greet Participants At Pace Dance-a-Thon This Saturday

PLEASANTVILLE – Pace University students are gearing up to dance the night away tomorrow in the company of Miss New York.

Pace for Kids Dance Marathon, or P4K is a philanthropic event held annually on Pace’s Westchester campus. This year’s P4K will take place tomorrow, Nov. 21, from 3 p.m. through Sunday at 3 a.m. in Kessel Student Center at Pace.

This event is a student dance-a-thon that raises money for the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital at Westchester Medical Center, Pace University's local Children's Miracle Network Hospital. Miss New York, Thatiana Diaz, from the Miss USA pageant will be speaking at P4K this year beginning at 3 p.m. She will be signing photographs of herself for the children and students until 5 p.m. Saturday.

Diaz was born and raised in Queens and at the age of 16, won Miss New York Teen USA 2010. Diaz recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from Pace with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies. As an undergraduate, she was features editor for The Pace Press and interned at several companies including Vogue, Sony, Latina Magazine, Seventeen and Wilhelmina.

Started in 2013 by a then Pace employee whose brother’s life had been saved by Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, Pace 4 Kids raises money for children and families affected by illness. This year, the goal of the fundraiser is to raise $35,000. For more information or to register, click here
