One of the authors, Brian Elbel, noted that many consumers do not know how many calories any meal should have. The study was published seven years after the Bloomberg administration legislated for the calorie counts, Politico New York reported.
The city health department still supports posting calorie counts, acknowledging that calorie counts alone will not change most people’s behavior, Politico New York reported.
