Hundreds Without Power In Westchester As Stormy Weather Overspreads Area

Hundreds of Westchester residents were left in the dark on Monday afternoon as stormy weather made its way through the region.

With rain and wind gusts hitting the area, 712 of Con Edison’s 348,198 Westchester customers were reporting outages. Additionally, 145 of NYSEG’s 32,806 customers in Northern Westchester were also without power.

Greenburgh was the hardest hit, with 689 outages. Somers (145 outages), Harrison (16), Yonkers, White Plains, North Castle, New Rochelle, Larchmont and Bronxville were also reporting they are without power. Complete restoration is scheduled to be completed no later than 7 p.m. on Monday night.
