Hudson Valley Actor Liev Schreiber Helps 'Spotlight' Win 'Best Picture'

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- "Spotlight," winner of the Academy Award for Best Picture at Sunday night's Oscars, features Dutchess resident Liev Schreiber.

The movie chronicles the Boston Globe's probe into sex abuse by a Roman Catholic priests and Schreiber plays Boston Globe Executive Editor Marty Baron who led the investigation.

The 48-year-old Schreiber, a San Francisco native, and his partner, Australian actress Naomi Watts, have two sons, Alexander, who was born in 2007, and Samuel, who was born in 2008.
