They came up with a perfect solution. The GoSmart Clip a plastic phone holder, which clips onto most smartphones and uses an elastic strap to adhere itself to the steering wheel. Sounds simple, right? It is. Simply unbelievable. It brings the phrase "smartphone" to a whole different level of irony.
Although its manufacturer recommends that drivers not text and drive (though they're making it easy to do so) and to use Bluetooth devices for calls, there's no getting around the potential for abusing the device.
To make matters worse if that's possible the holder all but obscures the gauge cluster behind the steering wheel. Great thinking.
