She will be seeing patients on the 4th floor of the Physician Office Building in White Plains Hospital’s Center for Cancer Care, located at 2 Longview Ave. in White Plains. She has a special interest in oncoplastic surgery, and sees patients with both benign and malignant breast disease.
Prior to joining White Plains Hospital, Dr. Ananthakrishnan was an Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and an Attending Surgeon at New York Presbyterian Hospital and Lawrence Hospital. She was also the Fellowship Director of the Columbia University Breast Surgery Fellowship. Dr. Ananthakrishnan previously served as Associate Staff at St. Vincent’s Comprehensive Cancer Center in New York and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
Dr. Ananthakrishnan received her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Ky. She completed her residency in general surgery (where she was Administrative Chief Resident) at the University of Medicine and Dentistry in Newark, N.J. She also completed her fellowship in breast oncology at John Wayne Cancer Institute in Santa Monica, Calif.
Dr. Ananthakrishnan is the author of numerous publications on breast cancer surgery. She is board certified in surgery and is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and Society of Surgical Oncology.
