VALHALLA, N.Y. -- According to the old wives' tale, a full moon brings more than an abundance of lunar light. From the legend of werewolves to people acting just a bit crazy, everyone have their own examples of strange happenings under a full moon. However, is there any basis to the common superstition?
According to staff at Westchester Medical Center, there may be something to the age old belief. While the National Institute of Health reports that lunar activity does not have an affect on hospital admissions, emergency room staff feel there may be more of a correlation than meets the eye.
