Katherine Burstein McGinn, CFA brings an interesting element to the modern business community in Westchester. McGinn specializes in an approach called Impact Investing, and her aim is to help clients achieve financial and life goals as well as social and environmental ones.
“Impact investing is based on the belief that successful companies can be more efficient, treat their workers better, and be great corporate citizens, ” said Katherine McGinn. “Impact Investors seek out companies that think intelligently about how the world is changing, and position themselves to be both financially competitive and have a positive impact on the world.”
McGinn, who joined Pell Wealth Partners as a Financial Advisor in 2014, will be recognized by the Business Council of Westchester as one of their “40 Under 40 Rising Stars” on June 16th. Honorees were chosen based on their demonstration of exemplary leadership, creativity, innovation, dedication and professionalism.
Prior to joining Pell Wealth Partners, McGinn spent five years as a Responsible Investment Specialist with Mercer Investment Consulting in New York. She is also currently a guest lecturer for Columbia’s Master of Science in Sustainability Management Program, and a book review editor for the Journal of Environmental Investing.

"It's a big honor to be among so many amazing young professionals in Westchester," said McGinn. "It's very important to build the profile of young business people in Westchester."
McGinn has big ambitions for the future that could have an impact on the community for years to come. "My hope is that over the next five years, everybody in Westchester becomes aware of Impact Investing and this great opportunity that anyone can access,” said McGinn.
