PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- The fall sports season is here and winter sports are right around the corner, and as young athletes return to the field, parents, coaches and participants are encouraged to join Northern Westchester Hospital for a free youth sports symposium at Athletes Warehouse in Pleasantville.
The evening will include presentations from collegiate coaches, medical professionals and physical therapists. Presenters will include University of Alabama’s head softball coach, Patrick Murphy, as well as experts from both Northern Westchester Hospital and Athletes Warehouse.
Panelists will discuss a variety of topics from dealing with the pressures of sports, to injury prevention. They will also provide insight on important areas of young athlete development such as weight lifting and the importance of play, rest and movement diversity.
The panel discussion will be presented by Northern Westchester Hospital and Athletes Warehouse and held on Thursday, Oct. 20 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Athletes Warehouse on 220 Tompkins Avenue in Pleasantville.
