Boys & Girls Club Of Northern Westchester Honors Humanitarians

RYE BROOK, N.Y. - The Mount Kisco-based Boys & Girls Club of Northern Westchester held its Humanitarian Award Dinner Saturday evening at the Hilton Westchester.

The Boys and Girls Club of Northern Westchester held its Humanitarian Award Dinner at the Hilton Westchester in Rye Brook.

The Boys and Girls Club of Northern Westchester held its Humanitarian Award Dinner at the Hilton Westchester in Rye Brook.

The dinner honored Brian Skanes, the club’s executive director for 21 years. His leadership has established the Club as one of the most respected youth service organizations in Westchester County, enriching thousands of children’s lives during his tenure.

The John Beach Award, also presented, honoring an individual, business, or other entity for outstanding support of the Boys & Girls Club, and was presented to TD Bank for its generous financial support of youth programming and services.

The club also honored 2015 youth of the year, 16-year-old Nethmi DeSilva.

The event featured a cocktail reception, a dinner, live and silent auctions, and a live band.
