Ramon Laguarta was named the new president of PepsiCo. As president, Laguarta will shape PepsiCo's corporate strategy, work closely with business units to deliver top line growth, drive productivity to enable this growth, and invest in new areas of disruptive innovation, the company said. Laguarta has been at PepsiCo for more than 20 years.
The company also named Laxman Narasimhan as CEO of its Latin American and Europe Sub-Saharan Africa division and Silviu Popvici was named the president of the Europe Sub-Saharan Africa division.
PepsiCo Chairman and CEO Indra Nooyi said the three are highly respected executives with long track records of delivering strong results throughout their career.
"These moves continue our longstanding practice of elevating great leaders within PepsiCo and allowing them to apply their capabilities in new ways that support our strategies for growth," Nooyi said.
