Wal-Mart Expects New Digital Payment System To Speed Up Checkout Lines

Wal-Mart is launching its own digital payment system, which will, the retail giant promises, speed up checkout lines, according to a report in supermarketnews.com.

The system will be part of Wal-Mart’s mobile application and the goal is to further connect the chain to its shoppers, the industry publication reported.

According to the report, the system will be available in select stores this month and a national roll-out is planned for next year.
