New Armonk-Based Cab Company Delivers Unique Services To Customers

ARMONK, N.Y. -- Jason Rosenzweig has 25 years of experience in the taxi cab industry, and he leveraged every bit of it to launch Castle Cab late last year in Armonk. With it, he has brought revolutionary technology and ideas to a century old industry.

Rosenzweig started his business in October 2014 in Armonk and recently expanded in January to serve clients in Bedford, Katonah, Chappaqua, Mount Kisco, Pleasantville, West Harrison, Purchase and White Plains.

Castle Cab is unique because of its on-demand service and advanced reservations. The company also offers the newest in mobile based ground transportation, where riders can request service through a click of the mouse, a tap on the phone or a call to the office.

“We wanted to create a luxury experience at a taxi cab price,’’ Rosenzweig said. “We wanted brand new cars (the Castle Cab fleet includes Toyota Prius hybrids) and uniformed employee drivers to create an Uber-type experience at a new level.”

Rosenzweig’s path to Westchester County began in Flushing, N.Y., where he started as a 5-year-old changing tires on his father’s fleet of taxis for New York City. “I loved getting dirty and being around cars,’’ Rosenzweig said. “I worked in the garage a lot during the summers.”

After the Rosenzweigs sold the business, he joined forces with Andrew and Edward Stoppelman of Red Oak Transportation to start Castle Cab Corp.

“We had lunch and shook hands and that was it,’’ Rosenzweig said. “The fact that I can partner with guys over a handshake these days is a pretty cool thing."

Rosenzweig’s business is unlike other cab companies in its commitment to customer service as well. The drivers have uniforms, and will assist senior citizens with medical equipment or wait for students after school. “It’s all part of our business model and makes us different than any other company,’’ Rosenzweig said, “especially for a taxi cab price.”

Castle Cab provides flat rates to train stations, and can transport  clients to airports, malls, restaurants, bars, golf clubs and more. Castle Cab can also pick up children for after school activities, with vehicle tracking so parents see the route of the cars.
