Between the United States and Canada, approximately $190 million was taken in from Friday and Monday, reported wsj.com.
The blame may be put on the disappointing feature, "Tomorrowland," which brought in $41.7 million, considered severely low in comparison with last year's feature, "X-Men: Days of Future Past," which brought in $110.6 million during the holiday weekend, reported wsj.com.
"Tomorrowland" didn't have the expected draw from families that Walt Disney Pictures may have been hoping for, and according to exit polls, only 30 percent of the viewing audiences Saturday were families, reported wsj.com.
