This year, the nine weekly sessions are being offered from June through August. Each camp week accommodates a maximum of 30 participants and space requests fill quickly due to demand and the excellent reputation of the program’s various activities.
Brynwood’s Junior Golf & Tennis camps are open to club members as well as non-members. A camp week runs from Monday through Friday. The program consists of two morning hours of golf or tennis instruction, followed by organized games on the club’s sports field, swim instruction with American Red Cross certified life guards, a gourmet lunch and snack, and two more hours in the afternoon of tennis or golf lessons.
A typical day starts at 9:00 a.m. with departure at 4:00 p.m. The camper-teacher ratio does not exceed 5:1 and instructors are certified PGA and USPTA professionals. “This is our 4th year operating the highly successful Junior Golf & Tennis Camp,” said Brynwood’s Director of Operations Josh Lowney.
“We attract many youngsters from outside our membership and the camps provide a great community service to local families. We anticipate another active summer with each camp fully subscribed. It’s important to get a reservation in early.”
Each weekly session also includes a personalized swing analysis DVD, in action tennis court photos, custom club fitting, a gift package and daily gifts, performance assessments and an award recognition ceremony on the last day.
The cost of each camp for a non-member is $699 and Brynwood members pay $599. There is a sibling discount of 15 percent for each additional child per weekly session.
